The 15th IZC will be held at the Jiuhua SPA & Resort (http://www.jiuhua.com.cn) in Beijing . As the capital city of China , Beijing is the cultural and political center of China , full of historical sites, tourist attractions and cultural events throughout the year. At the heart of the city, laid out according to the ancient principles of geomancy, stand the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven . In the northwestern part of the city is located the Summer Palace , which was built in the 18th century and boasts the largest royal garden in the East. A half hour by bus takes you to the Great Wall which was initially built in the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Period (7th to 8th century B.C.) in order to defend against northern nomads. Located 30 km northeast of the city, the Capital International Airport , which annually handles about 50 million passengers, has direct airlines connecting many cities in the world. Particularly, the 2008 Olympic Games will be held in Beijing (New Beijing, Great Olympics).
